Water Element
The Water Element identifies and analyzes the sources and availability of water within the County and establishes policies and programs to maintain its availability, conserve its use, and preserve its quality. The Water Element is an optional Element of the Imperial County General Plan as permitted by Section 65303 of the California Government Code. The purpose of the Water Element is to assure that goals and policies are adopted that preserve and enhance the County’s water resource availability and water quality.
